	Seaver to Reds and King to Padres New York Daily News, June 16, 1977 On a brutal day in Mets history, Tom Seaver is dealt to the Reds for four players. In addition, Dave Kingman is sent to the Padres and Mike Phillips is traded to the Cardinals. (Bobby Valentine is one of the players that the Mets received from San Diego in exchange for Kingman.)
